Professor of Ecology at the Autonomous University of Madrid and member of the advisory committee of the Sustainable Development Network
One of its main lines of research focuses on the evaluation of the management of public use activities in protected natural areas. Specifically he led a project to assess programs for public use and visitor management of the network of Spanish National Parks and comparison with other models of national parks in the United States, Costa Rica and Ecuador (Galapagos). Since 2008 actively involved in various research projects to identify potential impacts from tourism activities in Antarctica.
